2024–2025 SPRING SEMESTER INTERNSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Students,

At the Higher Education Executive Board meeting held on 18.08.2021, based on Article 4 of the “Framework Regulation on Practical Training in Higher Education,” which came into effect following its publication in the Official Gazette dated 17.06.2021 and numbered 31514, it was decided that professional internships or workplace-based vocational training would no longer be mandatory in certain associate degree programs. Accordingly, the “Computer Programming” and “Web Design and Coding” programs at our Vocational School are excluded from the scope of compulsory workplace internships.

Considering the aforementioned decision by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), and with the aim of helping students gain practical work habits (including those with prior work experience), the Senate of Trakya University decided in its meeting held on 23 September 2021 (decision no: 4 of session no: 15) that our internship practices shall be carried out either by recognizing previous work experience or in the form of an assignment/project.

• Internship Application Start Date: April 14, 2025

• Applications will be made through the form available in the “Internship” menu tab and will remain open until the end of the working day on April 30, 2025.

Only students who apply within the specified period will have their internship processes carried out. Students who do not apply within the deadline will be able to complete their internship during the internship period of the next academic year. Students whose previous internships have already been approved do not need to reapply.

Students who wish to have their prior work experience counted in place of an internship must submit the necessary supporting documents to our Vocational School.

• The Internship Assignment Practice period will take place between May 5, 2025 – June 13, 2025.

• The final submission date is June 13, 2025.

Internship assignment topics will be announced by the relevant instructor via LMS during the internship period.

You must complete the assigned work and submit it through the system or via email to the relevant instructor within the specified period.
